Fished live eels at The Gut (Orient Point, NY) last Saturday. Three of us on the boat, each brought up a keeper.

Mine, in the picture, was 34 inches. It was the pool fish but the other two guys forgot to ante up their five bucks. Oh well I got bragging rights for the day.

Nice fish Bern! I like that area, we spearfish near Plum, Great Gull and Little Gull. Lots of nice bass in those waters.

Bern:

That's a beauty! Who's the old Marine holding the fish? Was he on a day pass?

Never mind that. Who's the guy in the fancy yellow coat out in the middle of Block Island Sound?

I lost my comb overboard thus the distressed expression.

He doesn't have a wooden leg, by any chance?

Who are you talking about Tony?

The old Marine or the guy asking for directions in the fog?

If it's the yellow garbed pirate, that's ok.

But if it's the old Marine, don't mess with him, b'y.
He's decended from Cape Bretoners. Even on the west coast, you've got to know Cape Bretoners are the pride of the Maritimes!
