I have a Icom IC-M1 handheld that I do not use. I think it is 3 yrs old. Never on the boat. Used maybe 10 times. I have the 110volt charger. I think it needs a new battery. I don't remember what I paid for it.
Make me an offer.

Billy,That works for me. Check on a bat and let me know. Shipping to LI won't be much. Maybe I will call Consumers tomorrow and check on the bat if I remember. I suffer from CRAFT.

If they don't have a battery or it costs too much, most of those things just use AA size NiCads. If you pry the battery compartment open it will almost certainly have some kind of NiCads that you can pickup at Radio Shack for almost nothing. I bought a "parts" handheld off eBay cheap because the battery was dead and a new one retailed for $80. It cost me $20 for a pair of cordless phone batteries to stick in it. I have been using it for three years.

Still available. I checked on a battery and it is 63 bux from consumers.
Maybe Great Dogs trick will work if you can get the case apart.
Tom,
If Billy doesn't want it, I'll take it. BTW when do you pick up the Carolina?

It's yours. Send me your Address and I will send it off.
The Carolina should be finished in April.I am picking it up at the factory and running it up myself. Should be fun.
I took the factory tour 2 weeks ago. Here is a link to some pictures.
