Certainly no beauty queen, but solid. All glass, decks, transom, etc. are solid. Gel coat is oxidized, but no major dings.

Runs good. 20+ knot cruise on ocean..maybe 28 tops on lake. Typical Shamrock rust at no extra charge.

Negotiable is my rigging:

(I have no problem keeping most all of this stuff, but it does set on the boat nice. )

Icom M59 radio
Std Horizon GP 150 GPS/Chartplotter w/ C-map slot
Furuno 600L
Scotty manual downriggers w/ telescopic booms and swivel bases
Mariner 10 hp 2 stroke (mid 80's w/ low hours)

I'm thinking $7000 tooled or $5500 stripped. Pretty firm unless you guys tell me I'm crazy. An excellent 17' that is currently VERY seaworthy...only a little TLC is needed.

Hate to sell her, but I'm getting a Mack and can't use/store 2 Shammy's. This could be your chance to get one of the few 17's that ever made it to the "left" coast.

No replies at all eh? Talk to me.

There's many things that aren't even discissed above:

Like fuel pump at time of tank
Exhaust manifold
Exhaust elbow and hose
Raw Water pump
Cutlass bearing

An excellent project that is currently VERY seaworthy...only cosmetics are needed.

Sheeesh....not even any inquiries? If it was a price thing there would at least be some inquiries.

Try posting this in the allcoast site as well. A friend of mine posted his 26 Stalker there and seem to get much more activity than he did on FTC. I believe he sold it to an allcoast member. I think the FTC works better for the East Coast guys....

Just a thought. I would take the taffrail/fence off the boat. I think she would sell quicker w/o it. Good Luck.

Our waters get rough. That rail will save your arse here. Same reason you don't see towers and such around here.

Fished it Saturday for salmon. When we came into the harbor jaws it was like a washing machine with 5 footers from ALL directions, with a boat length at most between 'em at the mouth.

The 17's were never meant for this and was sold as an inlet boat. In that use you could be right. In these waters it would be deadly.

I'll be putting rails on the Mack...but prolly stick to stainless.
