That is one sweet ride. How do you like the diesel? I had a friend that wanted to buy my 20' open and I thought I'd like to move up and get a Stalker but he backed out so now I just dream.
If mine was gone I'd be giving you a call, Good luck !

Thanks. The diesel is GREAT! Don't think we could ever go back to the petrol. With the gas prices being what they are, it brings a smile to your face when you pull up to the diesel pump, even though that only occurs every few weeks - not every few days! Also, with the higher torgue, she eats up whatever we throw at her. This boat was made fot the NE waters. Dreams come true - drop a line if things change. We too are looking to move up. Good luck and tight lines!

Mako,
I found your original post and it looks good with alot to offer. Quick question is it a pocket drive or keel?? Been working on the mate to upgrade. Where are you in Conn ??

Mike,
AHHHH the Thimble Islands! I have a good friend and co worker who's family owns one of those small islands. I've been there a few times, it's a great area. I pass by there on my way to the Vineyard on 95 North. I use your exit as a test on my trip time, if I'm at your exit in 2 hours I'm doing good.
I would love to buy your boat but the tower is the issue. I have to trailer any boat I own to and from each trip. Dock space is very limited on Martha's Vineyard so prices are extreamly high and Moorings are next to impossible to get. There is a 10 year waiting list that never moves.
I've been trying but no luck so far. I know putting a 26' in and out each trip will be somewhat of a PIA but I really have little choice at this point because although there is great fishing all around MV I would like to go off shore a little and the 20' with a small tank (37 gallons) just doen't make me feel comfortable. A diesel 26" is the ticket for sure!! I have 5 grown children and the whole family is with us they all want to go on the boat. The 20' open just doesn't fit the bill any longer.
I may give you a call next time up I'd love to see it and meet you. Best of luck.

Still looking to sell this rig! This is a great boat with few hours. I would like to upgrade to a Blackfin, but can't do it until I find a buyer. If any of your family members, marina/fishing buddies or friends are looking to buy a serious fishing machine, have them call me @ 203-444-1733.

Mike, How many gallons fuel does it hold? Is it an 8' or an 8'8'' beam. How many hours on what size engine? What is the cruise speed? Thanks, Mike

This is a great boat and should be considered by someone that fishes in the Montauk/CT/RI areas. Everyone on this board raves about Shamrocks. One would think that someone on this board MIGHT know of someone that is interested in buying a CLEAN 26' Stalker??? Asking price is 35K (NOT alot of money). Gas prices are high, BUT this is a single screw diesel, which makes it a no-brainer. I want a Blackfin FB, but first must sell this boat. I certainly didn't think it would be difficult to sell a Shamrock. I must be living in a bubble!!! If anyone knows of someone with a very clean Blackfin FB that is looking to downsize, maybe they will make a trade and I can provide some additional cash. Thanks
I your boat..how many hrs...what speed ..how many gal. per hr? original tanks?E mail..t.edmonston@mchsi.com

Makomagic,
Do you have a spec sheet on the boat. I too would like to know the logistics of getting the boat to Florida with the tower. I suppose I could run her down. Could you send me any and all info available.

Did someone say they are looking for a 26' Stalker??? The boat is in CT and clean. I'm thinking....about advertising it on the internet. What are some of the better sites for moving a boat like this. I have been told that this is a great boat for someone from either Florida or Long Island. I'll try advertising it on the net....and if that does not work...I'll contact a broker. Thanks for all of your input - Mike

good boat selling sites are www.boats.com. www.boattraderonline.com, www.thehulltruth.net and www.thebassbarn.com. The last 2 are huge boating sites that have forums for selling stuff just like our Shamrock Site.
In additon, a auction on eBay would cost about $50 and would give you world wide advertising. Just make sure you include a RESERVE PRICE, which is the minimum that you would have to legally sell the boat if you auctioned her off. I auctioned my 24 Rampage and ended up finding a serious buyer that had not seen any of my adds that I placed elsewhere.
Good Luck!
