After some reworking at the begining of the season I can honestly say my Good AFD (formerly CFD) windlass is an excellent machine. It is a pleasure to operate and has performed flawlessly. The power of this unit is amazing. While fishing last week I hooked on to some old scrap metal while out in the sound. The hunk of old iron must have weighed 30 lbs or so and was tough to untangle from the anchor flukes but that winch pulled it up. I would like to see Power Boat Reports do a test on one to see the actual pulling strength. Tom Ring was great to deal with and I highly recommend a unit from Good.
