Hi Ben,
I have the 260 Express w/Yanmar 250 listed in the for sale section. Performance wise she cruises at 21-21.5 knots @ about 2900-3000. WOT at 3800 will get you about 25.5 knots have hit 26.5 knots with canvas down and calm seas. I dont have a flow scan on my boat but over the last 50 hours use I went thru about 134 gallons of fuel for an average of +2.5 gallons an hour. Cruise mileage is between 4 and 5 gallons an hour. Its a very economical engine to run. The 250 hp version is the 12 valve version of the 6lp series and is in the lowest state of tune horsepower wise compared to the 300 and 315 hp version 6lp's with 24 valves. I have had no issues with my motor, other than changing fuel filters and the somewhat remote location of the rw pump making impelloer changes/inspections more difficult than they should be. I have mastered sliding the bridge deck back to allow great access to the engine compartment when neeed and can now slide it back in about 10 minuttes solo. As I mentioned on a previous post replacement stuff for the basics is not bad cost wise. I am so pleased with the performance of this particular motor, speed/economy/ smoothness/power that it will be the engine of choice in the next Irish Wake. Any other questions on the motor or the 260 just let me know.
Greg
