Went to the AC boat show last week saw the new Iveco NEF250 looks lite & powerful.Does anyone know the weight of this motor or any other details?

I have that brochure but the weight is not entered. How do you get 250 hp out of 239 cubic inches?Doesn't sound right to me.

Cummins had this for years. A 250 hp out of a 239ci. Now they go up to 425hp in the b series which is 359 ci.

I have the 380 version in my new boat.

Termite what Cummins has that, myCummins 6 cyl 6bt5.9 is 210hp over 350ci this Iveco is 4 cyl 239ci 250 hp .

Look at the 4B-250.

The new B series are designated QSB for the commonrail. All the mechnical engines will stop in 2006 because of emisions. Not sure if they will change that 4B 250 to a commonrail.

My boat has 2 QSB 380s. You can't believe how quiet they are. The generator makes more noise than both engines do at idle.

Thanks for the reply Termite. So that will be the replacement for my 6bt when the time comes.The rpm range is similar , weight is less.
