I was thinking of repowering my 302 20' Shammy Center Console with this setup. Has anyone done this? If so, who sells it at a decent price?

Not that it couldn't be done, but I've only heard of that as a package with an Alpha outdrive.
If you're not worried about top speed, it might be a real economy motor to run. A friend has that motor in a 21' (I think Striper) and gets 5-6 mpg.
The top rpm zone (20%) is pretty flat horsepowerwise looking at the powercurve from Cummins.

check it out on the cummins mercruiser site, looks like it's been released for some time now. http://www.cmdmarine.com/17release.html

I was unaware of the bobtail version. With so few players in the trailerable inboard market, I'd suspect few applications. The smaller Shamrocks may certainly benefit by this motor though.
I think smaller jet sleds will be a bigger user in the end,
