If the elbow that goes at the turbo that joins the turbo with the exhaust hose has a hole, can that contribute or cause overheating??

Mickey-
What is leaking out the hole? Exhaust? Coolant? Sucking air?

The water that's going out the exhaust mixed with air from the turbo.

Just so I understand, you have a raw water leak in the exhaust. Obviously you want to fix this.
Usually any turbo problems make smoke. 'Cause now you got too much fuel for the reduced air that is making it into the engine. If you have an aftercooler that is dirty (air side) or leaking (waterside), you get the same.
Could your leak be affecting the raw water flow? If you have corossion at this elbow, could there be the same somewhere else? Overheating is usually from a restriction or problem on the raw water side.//Ed
