Steyr Marine Diesel May be Perfect Fit

Steyr Motors is now importing light weight diesels which should fit where our V-8's rest now. Their little 3.2 liter 6 cyl 256 hp engine weights 708 lbs. less than a Chevy 350. I hope Bo is looking at this engine. Consider these attributes in an engine swap. Same weight, use the same shaft, Max torque at 2500 rpm, 156 hp at 3000 rpm, peak HP at 4500. I wonder what the life of a high HP eng like that is.My 5.9 is 210 HP , that one gets double the HP on half the displacement.It's probably a high rev motor.
