If anybody is looking to replace the stock Shamrock rocker switch actuators
(fancy name for the lever that rocks back and forth) with new ones that are engraved (blower, bilge, etc.) I just ordered some from Pacer Marine in Florida. They're all standard size, and fit the contura switches on the newer
Shammies, and the older ones, for all I know. Their number is 800-634-5031

How's their pricing on Contura switches compared to other sources...

e.g. Boatfix pricing is anywhere from $11 to $16, depending on the switch. These are complete switch prices, I don't know if they offer the actuators separately.

It's kinda difficult to purchase the actuators seperately. especially ones that have icons/legends imprinted. "Easiest" way is to check out various boats, find ones that you like, and then see if you can find the maker through a dealer that you know. That Pacer outfit makes them for Edgewater and Pursuit, among others; I got their name from Larry's lighthouse, who sells Edgewaters as well as Shamrocks. They will sell to the public. I'm waiting for a price from them and I'll post up when I hear. Most rockers sold today are the Conturas and the actuators are easily switched out.

Actually, I've been into the guts of one of the Conturas on my boat. I changed out the incadescant indicator bulb for an LED that I had to reverse wire since it was being used as an indicator for my W/M battery combiner and that has a bass-ackwards enabling and activity light feed. So, yeah, I know the actuators pop off easily.

Kurt:

Haven't heard back on prices. Probably never will, as it's the "recreational marine industry", well known for its customer service. If you're interested, I can fax you a sheet that shows the various actuator icons that are available.
