A Right Coaster's perspective of the Left

A little O.T. but...

My wife saw this article in the local "Metro" paper the Monday before we left for Dan Diego and Fish Fest III. We thought it was humorous and in no way reflects our opinion of SoCal (there was no "poop" in SD's water the week we were there although I seem to recall seeing a similar news item about the water supply in a community North of SD during our stay).

The guy who writes this column usually and similarly rakes the Philly mindset over the coals - thought you SD area guys might get a laugh out of it. You might have to magnify the first pic to be able to read it.

Again, this article is this one man's opinion.

Kurt, that's pretty funny. I guess it's a Kalifornia thing - just keep on rollin' along... Beside what's a little poop between amigos. Just the same I would cut off my little pinkie (uh, I mean the finger) if I could live down there. FFIII was the final straw for me - maybe someday I'll get to take that long trailer tow down south 8) 8) 8) 8) for good.

Funny article - I enjoyed reading it.
I guess it's safe to assume the author isn't going to pack his bags and move out here anytime soon. That's ok, we like him living just where he is, poking fun at the left coasters.
As a matter of fact, I hope he continues to write similar articles about So Cal. Please remind him about all our high housing prices, drive-by shootings, earthquakes, mudslides, rolling blackouts, freeway gridlock, smog, etc. It's a terrible place to live, actually.
Now, if we could just get it to rain on the New Year's Day Rose Parade for once!

BTW - good call on skipping the Salton Sea during your visit. We tend to refer to that area as Dante's Ninth Circle of Hell. At 110 degrees, it's close!

That writer must be on crack. The Murder, Rape and Robbery rates are higher than San Diego. I think the whole think comes down to what gets reported and what doesn't. With the murder rate so high in Philly who cares what the water pollution is there.
