The 26 Predator with 210 Cummins , has a 350+ range at a normal cruise 28 MPH @2300 rpm consuming 7.4gph.Max. range 500+ @17 mph3.4gph@1400rpm how about that?

Don't we wish. 350 miles is about right at about 20 mph. 28 mph is WOT...right at a knot per 100 rpm in the upper half of tach.

I guess I need to do the swap to diesel for that kind of performance! I owuld think I had died and gone to heaven!

Do you get the milage posted on your car window? I doubt it. Same for boats they lie.

Yeah, but that is way better than what I get. My range is less than 1/2 that with a gas engine in the same boat!

My new vortec does better on gas than the old 351.I almost went diesel but it would have cost me about 4 times as much to repower.I would loved to had a Cummins though.I love my 27 to 28 mph cruise with the vortec.I had mine at 35mph one time and it was real close to wot.THe vortec is alot stronger than the old 351.I am turning the crap out of a 16x18 wheel with cup and its just right.
