Filled both tanks yesterday. 39 gals cost $116.43. $2.98 /gal.

Florida price. How does that compare with you other guys??

I buy only at my marina fuel dock. it's a blend called Vertac or some such thing.

But,I buy fuel there exclusively since Feb of 05 when boat was new.

No fuel problems. No filter problems. No problems at all.

How does that stack up with some of you guys with diesels?

Just curious?

Len,
Diesel $5,36/gal at the dock and about 4,95 at the gas station... I believe that no one in this board has more expensive fuel than me! (and gas goes up to $6,8 /gal...)

Thats what happens when you live in a country that has no oil... :(

Anyway it doesn't stop me from doing what I like most! ;)

BTW, the 246 will have lower "fuel cost per mile" than my previous 20' OB!

Len,

$2.699 at the Marina here in Jersey. About the same on the street. Went as high as 2.89 last season. Splashed my boat yesterday but tanks are full.

62 gallons of diesel a couple weeks go...land based. $185. Typically the dock is pretty close to land based for dyed diesel vs. clear diesel.

Can't complain I guess. Twas 4 trips, 30 miles cruise each plus troll for 6-8 hours each.

I'm paying 2.47 in New Jersey, but I'm sure they'll figure it out.

The fuel I always burn has the name VALVTECT. It is supposedly formulated for marine use.

The following have this stuff: BP Amoco, Shell, Mobil, Texaco, Sunoco, Chevron, and Citgo.

I don't buy Citgo after Chavez nationalized the co in Venezuala!!

Anyway, that's the stuff I use.
