OK, we have a post to try and get you SW Fl Sham guys together!!

Suggest we think about Boca Grande for tarpon in April - May. That's when they start moving thru the pass.

Charlotte Harbor has good skinny water fishing: snook, redfish, speck trout, sanpper.

Nearby Gulf: grouper, cobia, Spanish mack, King, etc.

There is a motel on the water with a launch ramp. 5 minutes to everything.

My lady has apartments. Centrally located : shops, food, and beach.


Gasparilla Inn for the deep pocket crowd.

Good restaurants, from pizza on up.

For the wives: it's credit card heaven!! Great shops.

Please let us know how you feel about this ASAP.

We have our dates finalized. We arrive on May 30 and leave on June 6th. Hopefully we can meet up with you and your wife for an adult beverage or two if the get together doesn't work out or is on different dates. We will be staying at the Tarpon Lodge on Pine Island for a couple of days during the week and at our families house in Ft Myers the remaining times. Thanks for the invite.

Let us know what dates you'll be at Tarpon Lodge. Can boat over and go fishing, Cabbage Key, or what ever.

I can also book a tarpon trip w/ a local guide. I'm not geared for tarpon, and these guys here can smell'em!!

I am a litttle surprised myself, however the east side started talking about it back in Sep last year and it looks like they have about 10 confirmed.
Maybe we keep going even if it is only a few the first time. After the first meeting if there is no one new intrest we fold...If they want free stuf then it is not a real club. I was looking forward to a gettogeather every 3 mo so we would have new things to talk about, ect.

I really would like to push for this tarpon season which will run from late Apr until beginning July.

Plus, out in Gulf, we have spanish and Kings!! Don't have to go far out to get these guys!!

So, just cross yr fingers and hope for interest.

The tarpon have arrived early!!

Last weekend the boats tok tarpon in the pass.

Big kings are also inthe pass!! 35 to 45 ## Nice fish!!

So have the sharks arrived!!

I was looking over the post for the east side and it came to mind that maybe there are some of you guys that are hanging back to see what is going to happen.

Well that's fine, but we would like to know if we few are the only ones intrested in a gulf side club, do us a favor, if you like the idea let us know, if you can't make it to the get togeather thats ok make the next one.

So how about it, is this something you would like to see happen, or we just spinning our props?

You don't have to be driving a shammy, we will let you park down the beach and walk up to the gathering
