My complaint is there is never any new threads in this category.

While i am here, i would like to complain about my wifes bad comments every time i start looking into buying a new boat, the only times she did not complain is when i bought her a 14 foot starcraft, just to get over to the beach. or the 2 kayaks i bought her this year, i must say i never thought i would like kayaking, it is actually quite relaxing.

Now i am searching for my next boat purchase, i keep hearing how our daughter has two years left of college, oil for this years heating season, and how bad the economy is right now.

But because the economy is bad, i feel is a great time to buy a boat, i have looked at a few boats, and the sellers want to come down on price right away, even though i did not even ask.

So i will continue that seach for that next perfect boat.

As usual she will hate me the day i buy it, but will get over it.

I still love her and i guess thats what matters the most.

I thought this forum was just for women.
They can't help but complain about everything, its in the DNA.

This may turn out to be one of the most controversial threads ever posted. Wonder what would go on here if AJ were still around.

I don't think I'll be reading it while the Admiral is in the vicinity...

Maybe you should get into the power boat a little slower and start off like my neighbor. He just bought a 14 ft. inboard powered kayak. It has a 6 hp honda air cooled (lawnmower) engine that is connected to a water jet drive. Then you could pull your wife with her armstrong powered kayak.

She is getting better, i went down and looked at one of the forum members boat to see if i liked it for size yesterday, a 22ft warrior, when i got back she wanted to talk to me about boats, she said she would feel more comfortable if i waited until our daughter gets out of college, thats a good start.

Hey i could tow that kayak behind the boat, it would serve as a life raft and a kicker motor.

Have to look over my sholder typing this one. We went to the Newport boatshow yesterday per her request. We hadn't even made it out of the parking lot when we got there and it started. Where are we going to eat lunch, I don't want to see this and so on. There must be some special training seminar they get in school that teaches them to spend a lifetime beating us into submission. My only santuary is she doesn't like to fish, but she will occasionlly slip in a "you don't use that boat enough to justify the expence". Guess I have to go fishing more!

Jim...

Go to the Norwalk show without her, hook up with Pitch Perfect and me (if I can manage to go) and we can all "gripe" surrounded by our favorite, leisure time mode of transportation.

Or, do the Squid Row "thing" and add underwater lights to get out more by night fishing.

Oh, BTW, my favorite... never mind, she may see this and then I'd be cooked!
