I think that lots of people like the concept, but it can be tough for people to commit. I tried to get to four different raft-ups this year with people I know, and something came up each time - usually related to the kids. We end up with something scheduled probably 75% of our weekends, and the boating / fishing gets crammed, on a very unscheduled basis, into any windows of free time that happen to open up.

So I would definitely be up for a get-together (are you thinking north shore or south shore???) but I've got to be upfront about my inability to commit.

Hey guys. I'm on the South Shore, out of Copiague. I'm out most every Saturday and Sunday, and some week nights. If any body is interested in meeting up for fishing or lunch or anything, just say the word. I'm very interested in seeing what other people have done with their Shamrocks.
