Install an in-line (between the strainer and the engine in an accessible location) hose bib T connection w/ a cap. Pull the cap off and connect your garden hose, turn it on, run the engine for at least 5 minutes, then turn it off after stopping the engine. Don't run the engine dry or you will screw up your salt water pump and don't forget to put the cap on after your done or your engine will overheat quickly next time around.

The easiest way to flush is by installing a Sherwood Flush Kit. They sell for about $50.00 dollars. You only need to cut the raw water intake hose and insert the assembly. The following is a link to Sherwoods web site. You should be able to install the kit in about a half hour. Then you just hook your garden hose to it and flush while the engine is running. When done put the cap back on the fitting and go clean fish. Any question call us at 800-548-6252.

Adding to the Sherwood message: Another nice feature of the Sherwood system is that it allows you to easily pump cheap antifreeze into the saltwater part of your engine. Just stick a hose in a big bucket of the stuff and watch til the exhaust is same color.
