A little help needed,
I was doing spring cleaning on my boat and found that I have gas in my oil resevoir. I have a 1995 22' center console with an Indmar Ford 351 engine. The boat has about 380 hours, and I perform routine maintenance regularly.
I have heard that sticking floats in the carburator are the most likely cause of this problem. The solution (I am told), is to clean the carburator throughly, change the oil and filter, and it should be fine.
Does anyone have thoughts on other causes/soulutions for this problem? I hope that the solution is as easy as cleaning the carb.
Thanks for any help and suggestions.

Mark,
Read about this exact problem in the recent Boat US magazine. I think it went out in the recycle already, I'll check when I get home. It was definitely a carb problem, however, I can not remember the exact solution (it did involve a carb rebuild). I'll post an additional reply this evening after I get home and check. Maybe someone else out there still has their copy of the latest Boat US mag?

Mark,
Sorry, the Boat US Mag already went out with the recycle last Friday. Maybe someone else out there can send you a copy of the article. It was in the Q&A section. Good luck.

Mike,
Thanks for the help. I have also now learned that the fuel pump may be the cause of the problem. I'll let you know how it turns out.

Mark - I stumbled across the article again. It was in Boating Mag not Boat US. I am going to e-mail it to you. Hope this helps.
