1. exhaust thru hulls
Was down to the boat yesterday to fire her up for her for her weekly engine run. After running the engine for a few minutes I did my normal checks to find that I had some sea water seepage coming from the starboard exhaust thru hull. I've seen many post here on the downfalls of the Shammies exhaust system. I am a victim. What should I do here and how soon. Should I replace with fiberglass, copper, stainless steel or bronze. Am in danger of sinking if I wait to I haul the boat in a couple of weeks.

BM46 - Where EXACTLY is the water coming in from? Is it from behind the flange - meaning, did the bedding let go or is the fitting itself rotted thru? Obviously in the first case, drill out the rusty installation screws and replace w/stainless and bed the tru-transom port with 3M 5200. In the second case - same as the first but add a new thru-transom port. Might as well do the both of them and be done with it, if one is bad the other is afixin' to go to. Obviously, you will have to haul out to do this repair. Rgds, Leprechaun
