Boat Drinks - You taking the 246 to Walkers? I'm a fellow 246 owner here in Fort Lauderdale. I haven't even thought about the courage to make the crossing....yet. What kind of electronics are you running?
Take care
John

My trip to Walkers got canceled this time but I am planning a few trips this summer. A couple to Bimini and one to Chub Cay. You are more than welcome to tag along. I have a Furuno DGPS, and depth combo. It is not a bad trip about 2 and a half hours to bimini. Give me an E-Mail and let me know when you want to go. It is safer with two boats, but on the weekends there are always boats that you pass along the way.

P.S. I gather from your sig that you are a Fla. Gator? This may cause some conflict. I am a Nole. :)

LA z,
I am a 246 Open owner, and I have done the cross over to bimini a few times. Last time I went at it alone, however my GPS broke about 10 miles west of bimini. Luckily it was only 10 miles and I was just able to use my compass to make it. On the way back I came with a few boats. It was pretty easy, and the fishing was great! We caught plenty of Yellow Tail and One nice 35 Lbs Dolphin. We are planning on going April 26th for a few days, provided the weather is good. Drop me a line if your interested....

I also live in Fort Lauderdale and would be interested in tagging along on one of your trips. My shamrock is a 1999 260 open. Electronics include
Furuno 667 D/F, RayMarine color radar, 2 GPS's (Furuno & Garmin), Si-tex RDF, 2 VHF, floscan (ordered not yet installed), yes, I love electronic toys.
Bob, '1stLove"
I'd be interested in going to bimini also, been there several times.
I live in No Miami, have a 2002 246 WA with radar, chartplotter and depth finder.
Please email me when you are considering going.
