Capts,

Well, I got my "new" 1988 Shamrock Cuddy Cabin in the Bay yesterday. She ran like a charm and even managed to catch 3 nice stripers. Check out website http://www.chesapeake.net/breezypointmarina/fishing.htm#Fishing%20Report

I had to throw a 5 gal. bucket out to slow our trolling speed down to 3 knots. The boat wouldn't go any slower (Throttle all the way back) Can I adjust it to idle slower or would that mess things up?

By the way, when we got to the ramp to pull her out there was another boat (empty) blocking the ramp. However, there was a guy on another boat that was too big to fit in between that helped me get her in the slip and up the ramp. When we thanked him for his help he said, "Antyime for a Shamrock!". It turned out that his boat was a sweet looking Mackinaw 26'.............mmmmmmmmmmm sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!

Thanks Shammy brothers!

Nice report Mark. Sounds like you are one very happy camper. I am sure you will be posting many more reports...I think you should stick with that 5 gal bucket if ya ask me, or get 2 of 'em if necessary. Many more Screamin' Drags too ya! Gavin

I've used the 5 gal bucket idea, and it certainly works. I do find tripping over the bucket on a 20 ft boat a drag, so I'm looking for a drogue or sea anchor. they work as well or better, and can be folded up when not needed. Just a thought.
