Since I have yet to finish getting my boat ready for this season, I went fishing with my friend on his Trophy 2352 WAC. We launched out of Point Lookout State park and ran up river a few miles. Caught our two fish (31" &29" striped bass perfect eating size for trophy season) from 10:20 AM to 11:00 AM and then went in. Fish were caught off of St George's Island in 35-50 feet of water on VA side of channel.

I had almost the same experience a day earlier. My Shamrock wasn't ready either, went out with a friend Saturday morning. Same place you were. Same success, about the same time. It was crowded Saturday. Had some friends that tried it on the bay out of St Jerome's Creek. the action was much slower.

I was out on the bay out of Chesapeake Beach and didn't touch a thing.
Hopfully next time will be better.
