The launch went great today with our 99 Mack. Bill No/ Tacks came up from Amity Harbor to see the rig hit the water for the first time with the " Short Circuit " name on her side. It was great to meet him. Many pictures were taken. When my son gets home I will have him put a few on the site. I have no clue how this is done. After we motored to our marina to set up the lines we went for a cruise out in the bay. She ran fine. Coming from a 23 ft. outboard I felt like I was behind the wheel of a real boat. I have a few questions. The temp gauge went up to 150 max after a run of about 20 min. at 3000 rpm. Am I running to cool?? The risers didn't get that warm. There is something about that temp gauge I don,t like. How can I test it? Also, at low speed(800 rpm) while in foward there is a rattle coming from below (tranny).? Pick up the throttle to 900 rpm it goes away? I will try to post the pictures soon.
Thanks Holty
Bill, thanks for coming up for the launch. Also thanks for that tip on the windlass. The wife said thats enough for now and she will continue to be the windlass.
