View Full Version : Is this a 22' predator or a 20'?
hello
I am looking at this boat and was wondering if it is a 22' or a 20?
They say 22' but it seems off, I was wondering if anybody else has any insight..

looks to me like a 20ft center console??? :D
That is a Stalker not a Preditor. I have an 87 that is almost identical (Except with a Tee Top, very cool, check my web link) Mine is a 220 wich I take to mean 22 feet but it is a bit shy. Counting the pulpit it is a bit more. Depends how you look at it. I'll say one thing about it: It rides like a MUCH bigger boat!

It looks darn close to my '91 CC - but for the cuddy. Pics of the from the rear (i.e. console and transom) nearly replicate mine.
No disrespect to northerners...but there's something that just does not look right about a boat sitting on a trailer with snow on the ground. Guess I left NY too long ago to remember the pains of Winter!! :)
For some reason did they offer the 22' in 88 stalker model?
I thought that the 22's had the 351 fords in them instead of the 302's
Thanks for all the great advice..

Looks pretty much the same as my boat (a 1989 stalker 200). Below are pictures of mine for you to compare it with ...I don't see any real differences. Mine runs a 302 Indmar.

As far as I know Shamrock didn't start making 22' until 1989. They are 22'-3" long and have 8'-6" beams. I own one and I don't see any listing anywhere for a 22 footer prior to 1989. It's the same 22' keel hull that they just stop making. They came with 351 gas or you could get a 130hp deisel. I hope this helps.

I just thought of something else, check the registration numbers. The first two numbers on my reg. are the length and the last two numbers are the year. Also the 22's had 14" props and 20's had 13" props.
