View Full Version : Hatteras Anyone?
This weekend is looking pretty good. Thinking about headed down to Hatteras for some offshore fun. Sure would like to have a buddy on a Shammy near me. Looks like things are really starting to pick up down there. Who's coming? fishinhatteras@nc.rr.com or gavin.sneed@mci.com

Gavin,
Please check weather. Fri 5-6 foor seas. Sat, 6 - 7 seas, Sun 9-10 ft seas.
Shamrock or not, I'm staying at home.
Call me
Fred
Been on damn near every wxr web page I could find and they are all solidifying that type of forecast. Man....THAT'S UGLY!
Ya know, Sat looks to be the day to fish in the window where the winds shift directions, but the thought of driving for 4 + hours to fish one day, and ONE DAY only has the boat just sitting in the driveway. I am not in the mood to get the shit beaten out of me this weekend. Sat is do-able, but I was really looking fwd to a relaxing weekend, NOT getting my azz kicked while fishing. I can't win. Water temps too cold to even go to the damn lake and do some tubing. This sux.
Fred, send me your digits so I will know how to reach you. How far are you from Hatteras? Should have known better than to get my hopes up. Thanks Fred. Gavin

Mike it has been a Long Winter, (BIG DADDY II) has not been in the water sense September. Bad weather last fall when I was going to fish at Nags Head, and this spring has been about the same. Every time I have a weekend off the weather does not cooperate I bought a Polar Skiff to Flounder fish and Striper fish at a local lake (Smith Mountain Lake) and it is the only boat that I have put in the water this year but the Shamrock is going in the lake tomorrow just to make sure it will still run then I hope to be down at the coast within a few weeks with her
