Well I just got back from my first trip to the bahamas on Boat Drinks....
Left Port Everglades on thurs morning behind a 55 ft Sport fish winds 20-25 out of the SE    Seas 8-10 with a few hundred 12s thrown in for good measure.  made it to bimini about 45 miles in 4 hours. The boat handled great for these conditions, However that is the last time I will do that. When I left I was 6'1" when I got to bimini I was 5'10" After spending the night in Bimini we went on to chub in 1-3 across the bahama bank and were fishing in the pocket by 11am. Right off the bat we caught a 35lb bull dolfin that was released at the boat, Pulled hook when we had the leader  caught another dolfin about 15lbs and called it a day. when we got to chub we found that they were out of gas, I thought no big deal I got gas in Bimini and they said it would be there that night.......Translated in Bahamas time sometime next week 8) went fishing anyway and Raised 2 blue marlin that we did not get a hook in  caught a 20lb dolfin and a 20lb blackfin tuna and pulled hooks on another one. got back to chub running on fumes still no gas!! The next day borrowed 5 gal gas from a Jet ski and headed over to andros with a couple boats 15.5 miles accross open ocean about halfway accross a storm started blowing about 30-35 out of the south!!! Needless to say it was wet. Made it to Morgans Bluff in Andros and filled up from a gas truck. I hold 110 gal pumped 109.5  Left the next day in 2-5 and made the entire way to Ft. Laud. in 5 hours. Overall the boat ran great no problems other than some loose screws from all the pounding on the hand rails and the Bimini Top. Made better time than all the outboards that went that day, but most turned around now I know first hand the benifits of an inboard.
