I did my first overnight for swords Friday night. 63 degree water at 20 miles from the harbor but couldn't find any evidence of bait. This is where the tuna are so we started drifting humbolt squid at 150 and 200 feet. No luck so we put out the outriggers when the sun came up and picked off 9 albacore before we couldn't keep our eyes open any longer.
Oh yea, despite specific instructions my partner brought Coors beer. Time for a new crew.
