From the Tidalfish site: "...Point No Point lighthouse area... Conditions were as sloppy as they could be...Deep into eastern shore country we drifted across some kind of structure. On the back side of the structure I could see a few marks. I guess I had the horseshoe as a citation sized Tog chomped my 5" plastic, 3/0 hook. It was a good pull too with drag pullage and repeated runs. The fish checked in at 18"! ... rained all day with driving rain, wind, big waves, and some big fish. All in all another beautiful day of fishing on the bay."

Pretty unusual catch for the Chesapeake Bay. The link is worth checking for the picture of the trout those guys caught (but you probably have to register for the site to see the thread).

GreatDog - Congrads on the catch!

I used to live at PNP back when I was up in the Maryland. Got plenty of pics of the light and a John Barber of her too. Caught my fair share of Rockfish chumming around that area too! Nice catch. VA Citation is 9 lbs or 21" for a release. What was the water temp?

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that was my catch. I am lucky to get some dink rockfish or a few croakers. I just wanted to post up a rare find in the Bay.
