kelly's dad was right, new job and my wedding has kept me away from boat projects. I did get to use the boat for a bachelor weekend surf session.

My opinion on the prop is: good and ehh.

it is way better for the engine and doesn't bog down when I gun it like before so it is safer. I tried to race some larger swells into the harbor one time and had it sputter and did not like it at all.

the ehh part is that the fuel economy and cruising speed have dropped. I haven't filled the tanks from the last trip but the boat used about 5 to 10 more gallons than it did with a similar trip with the old prop.

I am going to stick with the new prop for now but may contemplate getting a little better fuel economy.

I will try and stay more updated with the board this summer.

So, I filled up the tanks today and I used 22 gallons for my surf trip to Santa Cruz island. With the old prop I made a similar trip with only 16 gallons. The fuel economy is still good, it just is not great like it was. We are planning a run to Catalina soon. We will see how the fuel economy goes and I will post when I can.
