Repowering with 5.9 Cummins

    159 teeth sounds right.

    My bellhouseing fit 2 SAE specs IIRC. I never had it off, but I did pull the trans and the rear plate of the bellhousing. Is yours like that... a big 15" or so flat cover which the trans then mounts too? I put a Suredrive damper in when I did the trans.

    Your starter is behind the heat -X?

    In Nov. I was finally able to re-prop from a 3 blade 16x17 to a 4 blade 17x17.
    Found my little blue pill and unbelievable 25% performance increase and stlll hitting WOT.
    Felt horrible trimming back the keel shoe for prop clearance, but am so happy now!

    there is no need to alter the keel shoe, cut a wedge, [I used teak but any hard wood would work] 1/8 to 7/8 the width & length as brass shoe. remount with 5200 & longer screws as required. I have not noticed any change in performance. check my previous posts. 26 h/t 6lp 315 hp zf 63a 1.5. I am looking for a trolling valve.

    Very good advice to those that follow. I do wish I still had that extra inch of protection for piece of mind.
